INTERNATIONAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Eastern International College welcomes international students. Applicants who are not United States citizens or permanent residents will be assisted in meeting the requirements of the U.S. Immigration Service. All applicants who wish to receive an I-20 must be able to prove financial support to cover the tuition and local living expenses for each year at Eastern International College.
Required Documentation
All international students must submit the following documents:
- Complete the Application Form online at this link.
- Copies of academic records from all schools attended in original language and an official word-for-word English translation to admissions@eicollege.edu
- Copy of an official evaluation of academic credentials for high school equivalency in the United States if applying for any of the on-campus programs.
- If applicable, a copy of an official evaluation of college credits or degree completed for equivalency in the United States. Applicants for the fully online completion programs must submit an official evaluation of college credential indicating completion of the equivalent of an associate degree (or higher) in the USA.
- Language requirement: Copy of TOEFL, IELTS, or Pearson’s Test of English score. Refer below for the acceptable scores.
Note: Evaluation of academic credentials must be from any member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
Deadline for Submission of Application and Documents
- For January 2025 (Spring 2025) start, the deadline is September 15, 2024
- For May 2025 (Summer 2025) start, the deadline is February 2025
- For September 2025 start, the deadline is May 1, 2025
Language Requirement
EIC accepts official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), and Pearson’s Test of English with the following minimum score requirement:
- TOEFL: 70
- IELTS: 6.0
- Pearson’s Test of English: 54
The English proficiency requirement is waived for an applicant who earned a high school diploma or a college degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. It is also waived for students who completed the equivalent of a U.S. high school education or a U.S. equivalent academic degree in one of the recognized English- speaking countries listed below:
Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada (English speaking provinces only), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Fiji, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, Montserrat, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, U.S. Virgin Islands, Zimbabwe
All applicants must satisfy degree-specific requirements including standardized tests. Completion of the application and submission of documents, therefore, does not guarantee admission and/or acceptance.
Applicants for the Nursing (BSN and ADN) and Dental Hygiene (BSDH) take the Health Education Systems Incorporated A2 (HESI-A2) entrance examination. To be eligible for admission, the student must obtain a cumulative score of 70% or better.
Applicants to the online completion programs must submit proof of an earned associate degree or higher.
