Academic Advising
Eastern International College students are advised by faculty members, as well as program directors, when needed. These Academic Advisors who are well-versed in program-specific scheduling, grading, and curricula, ARE motivated to help students achieve their academic goals!
Registration for Spring 2021 began November 4, 2020.
STEP 1: SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR ADVISOR
Jersey City students call 201-216-9901, Belleville Students call 973-751-9051 to schedule an advising appointment or contact their faculty advisor directly
STEP 2: AN ADVISOR WILL GET YOU READY FOR REGISTRATION.
You will meet with an appropriate academic advisor to review and select your course schedule. For Nursing students, if you have not yet completed your Castle Branch requirements, you will be placed on Nursing Hold. Your schedule will not be entered to proceed with registration until this has been completed.
STEP 3: FINANCIAL AID
Once your academic advisor approves and enter your courses, your schedule will be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office will prepare your Aid Offer and Enrollment Agreement and send these documents to your email address via Docusign. Returning students will receive this in their @eicollege.edu account inbox, and new students will receive this in their email address on file with the College. All students must complete an Aid Offer and Enrollment Agreement to register for the term, regardless of the funding used to pay tuition. Your Enrollment Agreement will then be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office to confirm your enrollment.
If you have a balance owed to the College, you will be placed on Bursar Hold and must pay your balance in full to proceed with registration. You will be notified via email of this Hold. You will not receive an Aid Offer and Enrollment Agreement until all holds are cleared.
STEP 4: REGISTRAR
Make changes to your schedule by completing an Add/Drop Form with your Advisor. The Add/Drop Form must be sent to the Financial Aid Office
CANVAS: New students must check their personal email address (the email provided during the initial admission process) for instructions on how to get started with Canvas. All students, please note that you may lose access to Canvas if you do not sign your Enrollment Agreement by the Add/Drop Deadline.
