Job Opportunities

Under the direction of the Dean of Nursing, the Associate Dean of Nursing assists with management of administrative functions of the Nursing Department. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean on strategic planning and initiatives; administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development and evaluation; compliance with NJ State Board and programmatic/institutional accreditations; assessment; faculty development, hiring, and performance appraisal; and student support and discipline.

Requirements:

  • Terminal degree in Nursing (PhD, DNP, EdD)
  • At least two years of progressive leadership experience in academia
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Eastern International College in Jersey City is seeing applications for adjunct teaching positions in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program in Jersey City, NJ. Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Ability to perform general OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound procedures for the interpretation of a licensed practitioner
  • Daily use of Radiologic imaging, specifically MRI and CT
  • Knowledge of creating and reviewing imaging protocols
  • Interpret and complete the image requests within their skill set
  • Able to train students with the College’s standards and expectations
  • Ability to work compassionately and calmly with the students
  • Address students’ concerns and answer them appropriately
  • Train students according to safety protocols and core values
  • Ability to understand hospital estimates and present them to students

Schedule:

  • 4-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (weekends as needed)

Requirements:

  • ARDMS (or equivalent) certificate required as well certification in one or more of the following: RDMS-OB/GYNE, RVT or RVS, RDCS-AE or RCS, ARDMS-Abdomen
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree or its equivalent
  • Technology proficiency (for Scanning machines, MS Office, Gmail, Google Docs, Canvas LMS)
  • Minimum of one year of OB/GYN and abdominal and vascular sonography experience.
  • Schedule: Weekends as needed

 We are seeking candidates with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or Library and Information Studies (MILS) from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a librarian. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. Experience with library technologies, research platforms such as ProQuest, online databases (e.g. PubMed, JSTOR) is highly valued.

Consumer Information and Campus Security

The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 mandates that schools provide an annual notice to all students and staff describing the availability of a wide range of consumer information. The federal Higher Education Act, the federal Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), and regulatory guidance provided in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) require direct individual notices of prescribed information to certain target audiences including prospective students, currently enrolled students, current employees, parents, coaches and counselors of prospective student athletes, and the general public.
