The course covers anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, cardiovascular diseases, electrophysiology, 12-Lead ECG and interpretation, ECG rhythms, conduction problems and pacemaker recognition. Students learn to set up an ECG machine, prepare patients for testing, and conduct the ECG. Emphasis will also be placed on the relevance of the ECG interpretation in cardiovascular stages.
