Nursing Program Details
Learn the technical, professional and communication skills needed to succeed in the nursing field with the nursing, A.A.S. degree program at Eastern International College. Our program requires a total of 70 semester credits, including 46 credits in major vocational/program coursework and 24 credits in general education.
The applied science portion of the program consists of a theory/didactic/lab component in the classroom and a clinical externship component, which gives you real-world experience in the field. Designed to help strengthen your overall intellectual and interpersonal skills, the general education portion of EIC’s ADN program consists of coursework in the following areas: anatomy and physiology, English, math, developmental psychology, microbiology and nutrition.
Completing the Nursing Program
Offered at both our Jersey City and Belleville, NJ campuses, the Eastern International College nursing program is approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. Upon successful completion, graduates should have the skills and knowledge necessary to apply for state licensure and sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Many EIC nursing students go on to have exciting, fulfilling careers in the healthcare field.
